Tonight’s meeting we lay out both the background and the practical roadmap for what we do at the Tree of Liberty Society and why we do it, grounded in decades of experience studying tyranny, natural law, and successful efforts to restore liberty throughout history. I explain how real, lasting change only comes when we balance education with action—building understanding first, then stepping outside our comfort zones to influence culture, communities, and institutions. Drawing on real examples like the successful nullification of Real ID in Arizona, I show that organized, principled, local action can force even unwilling officials to do the right thing. This is not about short-term wins, political theater, or outsourcing responsibility, but about patiently informing people, working with others on single issues where agreement is possible, and steadily shifting culture so liberty can be defended and reclaimed for the long term.

And most important, help us to take your godly message that's in this meeting with us and carried it into the world. Let us remember what you taught us through Isaiah, that we are, as a culture continues to deteriorate and people turn away from you, that we need to be the remnant. We need to uncompromisingly embrace your law, embrace your message, embrace your gospel. And continue our faith in you so that when people are open to the truth, we'll be there to give it to them. I pray this prayer. We pray this prayer in your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
So I want to make the announcement again about the book, The Righteous Sword Against Tyranny. As I mentioned before, it's available for physical, for digital, or for audio. It's on Kindle. It's on Nook and you can get it on Barnes and Noble or Amazon. If you want the audio book, you can get it at our website, treeoflibertysociety.com. I also wanted to announce a new book that we have just put up online today. Not quite on the website yet. It'll be there tomorrow because I'm waiting until it's available. The physical copy is available on Amazon before I put it up on the website. But currently, as it stands, the Kindle version of this new book is up at Amazon. And it is called the Dallin H. Oaks Intelligence Report. It's kind of more of a booklet. It's only just under 50 pages, so it's not very long. It is a historical document.
So just give me a little bit of background of what led to this. About 15 to 20 years ago, somebody gave me this anonymously written. intelligence report, kind of had a feel of an FBI report, but I don't think that's what it was. But it was an anonymously written intelligence report about when it was written in the late 70s. Dallin H. Oaks was the president of BYU, and it was going over his history, going into college and in the judiciary and the different things that he was involved with. And so but there were no sources to each of the claims in the document. And so Rod and I have been spending the last little while going through and sourcing all of the claims in the original report and then updating it to things that have happened, part of his history since he was the president of BYU. It's not anti-Mormon. It's not pro-Mormon.
It is just a report on the record of an individual. So if it's not for Mormons, it's not for non-Mormons. It's for everyone that lives in an area that has influence by is influenced by the the influence of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints so that they can better understand the mindset and the background of its current president. I can see we've got a comment or a question. Somebody is. Got their hand raised, I think. Yes, Mark. Two things. I assume, and correct me if I'm wrong, it helps expose him being part of the conspiracy or carrying out the conspiracy. So it documents a lot of his ties to the Communist Party USA. Okay. Well, then my answer is yes. And I hope it's not too much like an FBI report because... Most time reports seem to be fiction these days, so it's not fiction. It is not fiction.
We've been able to source everything that is in the book, and so that's available. Correct, correct. We don't publish a lot of fiction here at the Tree of Liberty Society. Rod, I don't know if you have any more comments on that, anything else to share that you think would be beneficial? Well, I mean, it was really eye-opening. i did not know about 95 of what went into this so until i did the research for it so it's crazy but i think it's one of those uh kind of like um uh i don't remember who it was that said before after she read invasion i thought i knew everything until i read the book right uh yeah this is kind of the same thing here too there's a lot that people uh do not know and it will be very eye-opening yep any other questions yeah what are you gonna have what are you gonna be asked for the printed copy how much So, oh, for the physical?
Yeah. $8, $7.99. Good deal. Any other questions? Okay. Let's go ahead and continue on then with our training. Oh, just a reminder again on the membership where until the end of the month, individuals that would like to sign up get the first 30 days free. And as well as we have, if you'd like to switch over to the annual membership. to save yourself some money. That is an option. It also helps us out with a little shot in the arm if you switch over to that. Yes, Rod. I just want to mention, if you have any issues with the checkout, please let us know. We had some issues last week and we thought we got them fixed. I just want to make sure that it is fixed.
So if anybody does have the opportunity to go in and do this, please speak out if there's any problems. Great. Thank you. Okay, so we're going to get into tonight's steps to change the culture. I've spent a lot of time, you know, this is strategically speaking, in focusing on the principles of liberty, the principles of the conspiracy and how they operate so that we can better understand them, we can better avoid those things. And conspicuously, I guess, I have not really gotten into a lot of the nitty gritty of... the things that we need to be doing. I've spoken in very specific generalities, and it might be contradictory. And the manual gives a lot of specifics as well. And so I'm hoping that folks have gone through the manual and are continuing to go through the manual for specifics. But I'm going to go into specifics on the things that we should be doing because... Hopefully we understand now a lot of the reasons and we understand really well the reasons why we don't do a lot of the things that we don't do. And so this is the things that we need to be doing and that we should be doing as members.
All of us, we're building an understanding, but it's this balance that we always have to be engaged in. How much do I, you know, do I wait until I know X amount? And so, but we also don't want to be ever learning and never coming to, you know, knowledge and never acting on the information because then it does drive us crazy. And so, you know, it's just, we need to have this tandem path that we're on of building our understanding base at the same time of taking action. And so that's what I'm going to get into tonight. But of course, you know. Before we take action, we need to make sure that we are gaining knowledge. And the situation that we're in today is because we are perishing because of lack of knowledge. We don't understand the conspiracy. We don't understand the way it operates.
We don't understand the fundamentals of natural law, the principles of liberty. And so we are perishing. And so we need to make sure that we are working diligently to ensure that that's not because of our own lack of knowledge. And everything that we're doing here is to build understanding of and adherence to the principles that have built free nations to expose the satanic conspiracy and to build an effective resistance to that conspiracy. Okay, so what is all the stuff that I'm going to be talking about based on? Where am I getting this information? You know, am I just making it up because it sounds good? First of all, it's 25 years of boots on the ground experience, trial and error. Just experiencing what other people have said is effective and then learning maybe it's not or here's a more effective way of doing it.
But I've been doing this actively in many different areas of the union for 25 years now. And so I've got a lot of experience in understanding what does work, what doesn't work, and why those things work and why the things that don't work don't work. So that's a lot of it right there. I've got more experience than most people that are involved in the liberty movement. Also, studying what others have studied on effective activism. So there are others that have come before me that have looked and studied. What makes movements, good or evil, effective? And they've laid out those plans. And so I've studied those. And then I've also studied those that have been effective in restoring lost liberty. Studying what the founders did. What was the foundation that they laid to be able to gain independence? Looking at the pilgrims, looking at ancient Israel, right? Just going throughout history and looking at societies and cultures that were under tyranny.
And what was it that they did? What are the ingredients that they put together to be able to restore liberty? And so the things that I'm going to be talking about are based on a mixture of all of those things. Okay. So just so you know, it's not just, I'm not just here for kicks and giggles. I want to talk about examples of effective defense because you can't just have a defense. You can't, and you also can't just have offense. You have to have both. And so some examples of things that I've been involved in specifically following the program that I'm going to be talking about later have been very effective in defending ourselves against the encroachment of tyranny. Okay. So the first one being Real ID. And so back in 2000, if you're not aware, we've talked about Real ID. A lot of states currently have on their driver's licenses.
You look at your driver's license and it has a yellow star on it. And that means that your state driver's license is compliant with this national ID program called the Real ID. So the real ID was passed under the Republican Congress and under George W. Bush back in 2004, 2005 session of Congress. And it creates this standard for IDs to be part of this national system. And they passed it. And so that when it goes fully into effect, you cannot go into federal buildings, courthouses, you can't go to the... tour. You can't go to visit Congress. You can't go on airplanes. So, you know, wipes out international travel without having an ID that is real ID compliant. Okay. So that was passed in 2005.
And by, again, by Republicans. under the guise of fighting terrorism. So if you weren't in favor of a national ID, you are obviously in favor of the terrorists because this is how we're going to beat the terrorists by having a national ID card. And so I was in Arizona at the time and we organized amongst many different organizations to unify under this one issue. to get the state legislature to nullify the real ID. So this is back before, you know, we had these lulls and ebbs and flows of the understanding, knowledge of nullification. And so this was during a point in time where nullification was not a well-known principle at all. It was at that point in time, it was only referenced. to the war between the states. And so, but we, I organized an effort amongst lots of different liberty groups to gather together to get the state legislature in the state of Arizona to nullify. So we're going on the defense. We're not repealing it, but we're just saying in our state, we're not going to enforce the real ID.
We're not going to. force everybody in that state to have this national ID card. And so it was very difficult because when we first introduced the subject to legislators, none of them wanted to go against the Republican president. They didn't want to be seen as rhinos because if you go against the president, you'll go against the Republican Congress. It must be because you're a liberal. Right. That's the mindset that a lot of people have. And then, of course, because this is a part of the New World Order scheme, the governor of the time was a Democrat by the name of Janet Napolitano. She was the director of Homeland Security under Barack Obama. And so because because of that, she didn't want to go against it either. And so we had this hugely uphill battle where we had. Nobody in government that was wanting to put this forward and move it forward. And in fact, the governor said, you can try to get it through the legislative body, but I'm going to just veto it.
So don't waste your time. And so, but what we did, we, and I'm going to show you a lot of the steps that we did. And so I'm not going to get into that specifically right now, the steps that we did to do this, but we moved it. And so that we could get evil people. to do the right thing so this is an effective example of defense where we organized amongst uh these different organizations on a single topic that we could all agree on that we all opposed and we worked to get the legislature to do a 180 and they passed the bill so utah so the arizona legislature was um passed the bill said real id is not in effect in the state of arizona but we Then we're like, okay, well, the governor already promised to veto it. And so we worked with groups that would pressure her from a Democrat perspective to get her to not veto the bill because there's always three options that an executive branch can do. They can veto the bill. They can not sign it and just allow it to become law or they can sign it and sign it into law. And so we were just hoping that she would just ignore it and say, okay, I'm not going to give it my seal of approval, but I'm also not going to veto it.
But because of the program that I'm going to show you, we were able to get her. not only not veto it we got her to sign the bill and so now to this day people that are have residencies in the state of arizona do not have to have this national id um a compliant driver's license okay so um also there's we've talked about also in training this push to build this stepping stone to a global government in in north america It's what NAFTA was about. It's what the USMCA is about. And it's to push us into a European Union style government for North America. And again, because this was done, we have in the state of Arizona, we have a Republican legislature and you have the Republican Congress and president at the time. This is 2006, 2007 timeframe. When is 2008 timeframe? Sorry. And when we're doing this and we got the state legislature, to pass a bill officially opposing this Republican movement to create this North American Union. Also do the same thing with this idea of the free trade area of the Americas, which is a bigger stepping stone of having all the Western Hemisphere under this European Union-style government.
So those are defense examples, right? We're not going on the offense. We're not repealing anything. We're just saying we're not this far and no further. But you can't just be on the defense all the time. You're going to lose. And so you're going to just keep on going backwards. And so you do have to have movements to go on the offense. So I want to talk about some examples of effective offense. When during the fake pandemic, when the governor signed an illegal order saying you were not allowed to have meetings of people of 10 or more. We had crowds of more than 10 people, a couple dozen people at the very beginning because people were still scared, but we resisted. We said, not only are we going to resist this, but we are going to go on the offense and say, no, we're not going to obey this, and we're going to take this ground back, and we're going to meet.
Also, when they closed down all the restaurants. We set up our own restaurants outside of restaurants to gather people together to eat. And then later on, we found restaurants that were willing to open their businesses and we supported them and we filled their restaurants during the government shutdown. We went on the offense and said, we are not going to obey you. We are going to take this liberty back and we are going to open up. And so following the program that I'm going to lay out in tonight's training and in future trainings, I'm not going to be able to get to it all tonight. We're able to go. We're going to we're able to do both the defense say no, no further and offense taking back ground. OK, so how does this happen? How do we do this? The job, the first thing is to always build understanding.
You can't get people to do anything. if they don't understand the who, what, when, where, and why behind what they're being asked to do. If they are listening and believing everything that's going on in the conspiracy-controlled media, then they are not going to do anything to resist what the government is doing. They're not going to disobey these fake laws. And so our first job always, and this is why I focus so hard on understanding the conspiracy and understanding liberty and the principles of liberty, Is we have to do that. And because if I'm here, if I just come on one night and I say, we've got to go on the offense and we've got to stop obeying this illegal order from the government. And I've never covered that principle before. You guys are going to be like, what are you talking about?
That's crazy. Or that's too scary. You know, things along those lines. And so we have to work to build the understanding of the people that we're trying to get to act, get to do things. And so, but there are. Lots of different ways to do that aspect, to build the understanding. And so one of the ways, this is one of the things that we did to be able to build understanding to get the legislature to oppose the North American Union. And I'm going to get into this in more detail, but you can see this letterhead that we did. We sent to legislators and we sent to opinion molders throughout the state. And we we've talked about this and it's in the manual as well, the member manual of getting opinion molders to back our message. And so as when we were sending out the message, we weren't just saying, you know, I'm Joe Blow and I help you join me in this effort. We're saying, no, look at these are other people that are of your caliber that are on our side that are backing us up.
And so that's, so it gets people to listen to your message that maybe they wouldn't have listened to otherwise. Also, we're just, when we're just talking to people, we pass out literature to educate people on topics. We have our, you know, we have our books, we have our pass along cards, our Slim Jims, and we're distributing those things to help build people's understandings on a basic level and then direct them to a link, a website. to learn more about it. If there's a video, an article, whatever it is, to be able to learn more about that subject. So those are several different ways that we help to build understanding. We also do it by distributing books, sharing the invasion with our friends and family. We invite people over to our home to watch presentations. about certain, you know, about principles that we either think that person that we're going to invite over is interested in, or maybe we've had a discussion with them and they're not, they don't understand it.
So we're going to invite them over and we're going to share with them a presentation to be able to learn more about that subject. And we can't underestimate our, the influence that we have with other people. Sometimes, you know, we, We think that people might not listen to us or we don't have that much of a sway with people. But collectively, especially when we work together, we have a good impact on people because the more people hearing it, the better. But as individuals, whether we realize it or not, each of us as an individual have around 100 others. in the form of family, friends, co-workers, people we go to church with, organizations that we belong to, etc. I know that there are people that come on training that are members of three or four other organizations. And so as they attend those other meetings, they are able to have influence on those people that they're speaking with. Now, you know, is it the same influence as maybe their local bishop or pastor?
No. It's going to be varying degrees of influence with them, but we do have influence with these people. And so it's important that we don't forget that we have influence with others and that we use it. We have to use that influence that we have. And so we utilize this influence together because then it exponentially increases your effectiveness. If, just for example, you're part of another organization, John Birch Society, Tea Party, you know, whatever it is, and you share a pamphlet. somebody there. There's going to be other people that maybe you don't know, but know the person you're talking to that are going to be part of that conversation. Or that person that you shared a flyer with is then going to pass that flyer on to somebody else. And so you can start to see how for that 100 can grow exponentially if we use it. We can also influence those that we don't write, and I just mentioned that, through direct contacts, as well as other outreach activities, which I'm going to get into. As we go on, we also magnify our influence through additional donations to the society.
When you support the Tree of Liberty Society with your donation, it helps us to be able to grow through advertising, through distribution of books, through the production of videos, through research, all of the things, you know, being able to travel to give presentations to other individuals. And so through our own efforts, we're able to have influence, but also through our monetary support of the Tree of Liberty Society, we also magnify our influence through the organization. So this is an important thing, too, because when we use our influence, especially if you're like me, you're going to have to get out of your comfort zone. I don't know if you've, you know, those of you that know me more personally will know this about me, but I am a, I'm not an outgoing person. Okay. Right. I'm at an event. I'm at something I'm, I don't need to talk to anybody. And, you know, I'm just going to wait for people to talk to me. Even when I give a presentation, right. I'm about to go on to, to go talk to people. And, you know, I'm, I'm just as scared as somebody that's talked for the first time.
And I have my entire life have had a stuttering struggle. And so to have me be the kind of person that now is out there giving presentations, doing videos, writing books, talking to people, it's something that I have to force myself to do. If I am not forcing myself to get out of my comfort zone, these pictures are me. I'm just not going to do it. And so if this is you, don't think that, oh, Ben does this all the time, so he can just say this. No, this is a struggle for me, even to this day. I've been doing this, like I said, for 25 years, but it is still something that I have to force myself to do. And if I'm not forcing myself to do it, what you're looking at in these pictures is me to this day.
Okay. So I feel your struggle, but I'm going to tell you that if I can do it, you can do it. Lots of people have said, well, I've never heard you stutter. Well, I have found tricks to either hide the stuttering or to try and overcome it in different scenarios. But I still struggle with it, even to this day, even to this night. And so because getting out of our comfort zone is where the things that we want to see happen, where it happens. If we're not willing to get uncomfortable, we will not see the change that we need to see. And so if we are okay with that, if we're going to say, oh, well, that's just the way it is, I guess, then we don't have to go out our comfort zone.
We have to realize that's the consequence. Nothing is going to change. But if we want to see the change, then we have to stretch. We have to get out of our comfort zone, be willing to do the things that we would normally not do. If we weren't saying I need to do something. Okay. So again, for the shy type, talking to someone about these things can be difficult, but we have to get out of our comfort zone to do this. Okay. It's just a matter of practice. It doesn't get less scary. It just gets easier. I don't know if that makes sense. You're just able to overcome that fear. The more you do it. And even if that means stumbling, you can't just say, oh, I goofed up and the person didn't listen to me because I didn't speak very eloquently. You just say, well, what did I do wrong? How can I fix that for later on and just go and do it again? You know, I was actually just talking to the other day. I was talking to my first boss when I used to work for the John Birch Society.
And when I first started working for the John Birch Society as a area coordinator, I was 25 years old, I think it was. And so I was still pretty young and still stuttering, still shy, all of those things. And I'd never before really forced myself to do these things. And so but for the past several years, he's been watching me doing the videos with the Tree of Liberty Society. And he was and he marked remarked with how over the years since he knew me back in 2005 or 2003 to today, how much that has changed. And it's not a change because of I'm no longer afraid or, you know, it's just because practice. I just goof up over and over again until I don't goof up in that way anymore.
And I goof up in a whole new way. And then I just, you know, try to just overcome those goof ups and do better and better as time goes on. And that's what all of us have to recognize and do because otherwise it's just not going to work. Okay. So the thing that we can do is we can practice with an elevator pitch when we're going to decide when or where and who am I going to talk to about something. When and who and where am I going to pass them a book, a link to a video, pass along card, right? If it's somebody that we know, we can't just say, here, card, right? It's helpful for us to be able to give some background. An elevator pitch doesn't mean it has to be done in an elevator.
It just means you're in an elevator for a short amount of time. How can I get the point across to this individual? in the most effective yet short period of time okay and so as we develop these things as we practice them as we use them and say okay that didn't work very well why didn't it work and then and we start to uh polish our elevator pitch we get better but you know even for people like right an elevator pitch can be maybe too big of a leap at first and so getting our toes wet and sharing these things with people we can just start off with just three words, right? Just here, read this. Here, watch this. If we just start off, if that's the amount of getting out of our comfort zone that we can handle at the time, then let's do that. Here, read this. Here's the book. Here's a pamphlet. Here's an article that I printed off from the Tree of Liberty Society website.
Here, watch this. It's a QR code to one of our videos. It's a QR code to our bootcamp. you know, whatever it is, just, you know, if you're going to start somewhere, start with that and then start to get more comfortable, right? Because the first time you say, here, read this, it's still going to be scary if you're like me. But as you do that, that'll become easier. And then you'll be ready to say, okay, I can start an elevator pitch to explain to them, hey, we've talked about XYZ. This is a video that explains that in more detail. I encourage you to go watch it. You know, here's the link to it. And so we can develop that elevator pitch to be more and more effective as time goes on.
But if we don't get out of our comfort zones, that will never happen. Okay. So, and we do that. to get out of our comfort zones and share somebody, something that we have, if we're already prepared. If we've got some pass-along cards with us, we've got a flash drive with some of our videos with us, we've got a book with us at all times, we should have some materials with us regularly so that we can take advantage of situations to share it with somebody, okay? Whether it's a book, pamphlet, right? Flash drive, bootcamp, pass-along card. And then explain to them the uniqueness of the Tree of Liberty Society. What is it that sets us apart that got you interested in us in addition to or above other groups, right?
Because we're the best way to exercise civic responsibility. We save you time and money because of our research that gives you the information to understand what's effective, what's not effective, who's a conspirator, who's not a conspirator. Because we're focused on the beast, not just focusing on these tangents, on these tentacles, these distractions. We're working to inform and reform the culture. We're not just saying, send me your money and I'm going to go lobby the Satanist for you. And also because maybe another reason is we're accumulative, right? We're building understanding. So we're building that solid foundation through victories and defeats even.
As time goes on, all of our victories will be solid and long lasting. Our solutions long range. It's not a short term solution. And we have to build the informed culture and we have to shift the culture. These are just examples you might use of sharing with someone of why you appreciate what we do at the Tree of Liberty Society. Next after that, right, is following up with them. It's one of the most important steps to success. And there's two kinds of follow up. Right. We follow up communication with an email, a text, phone call. And it's an important tool in completing what we did earlier with the individual. It can be used to make additional point or offer additional information.
You follow it up and they say they have another question or, hey, do you have other videos on this? And you can send them more information. Just give you an example of this just recently happened to me, somebody that I know personally in my private life. I don't even know. Maybe they're on tonight. I haven't looked. But I've been sharing videos with them from presentations that I've been giving. And they've been involved in different liberty organizations for many, many years. And but it just something triggered and they watched one video and they said, oh, my goodness, I didn't realize that. And then they said, give me another one. Give me another one.
And but over the span of two weeks, we've shared about 15 different videos and articles about different topics. And they joined late last week, became a new member of the Tree of Liberty Society. And it's somebody that I've literally known for 15 years. And so these are the, it's not an overnight thing, but it's that follow-up and talking to people. And when they're ready for us, we've got something to share with them. Or another way to do it is that personal follow-up by appointment, making step -by-step progress through the topics above. is the most effective. So by appointment, meaning you've loaned them a book or sent them a video and you just say, I'd like to stop by and chat with you more about it. So that way you can have a more in-depth conversation. But those are just different ways that we do follow up.
Okay. Another thing that we can do to help shift the culture, build understanding in others so that they will then be activated is doing group presentations. We hold presentations or video showings in your home. And that is essential for making these cultural shifts. Because yes, we can help inform people through posting things on social media, passing out flyers at events and whatnot. But it's this type of one-on-one face-to-face with people that you know, that you invite into your home to show them these things. You're saying, I'm putting my reputation on the line. That you're also saying that this is important enough to me that I'm serious about it. And so this is so serious that I'm inviting you to learn more because I think you'll think this is serious too. And we need to work together to solve this issue.
And so it adds to the seriousness or the gravity to what you're sharing with them. And you're able to get into more detail with them. Right. In-person presentations, live Zoom presentations or videos of your personal favorite presentations. Those are different options. So, you know, I'm not always able to make it to where everybody is. So but if you want a live presentation, we can schedule something where we do this live over Zoom or you just like, hey, I, you know, maybe I can't work with, you know, I just this video is already good enough. Let's just have people over and share this video with people. And so to be able to set that up, you need to identify 10 to 20 people that you know personally that you will invite to your home to be a part of this presentation or video showing. This, you know, not everybody that you invite is going to come. It's going to be basically 50% roughly, depending on the other things that you do, that will come.
And so you create a small flyer that gives the overview of what the topic is that you're going to discuss and with the time and date and location of where it's going to be with a personal note that you hand write on it that it was relevant to your relationship with that specific person. And so each one is going to is maybe going to vary a little bit, but it's going to have that little personal touch that is going to say, OK, you know. I might not know what's going on, but I'm willing to risk, you know, going to this meeting at my friend's house because they said that this was important to them. And if, you know, this is somebody that, you know, you have mutual respect for, they're going to take this seriously. And then send them a reminder the day before and so that you get as much, you know, turnout as you can get. And then you have time afterwards for a group conversation after the presentation, after the video showing. And so that way it's not just a meet, eat, and retreat where you're just getting together to say, hey, look at this cool video, and then everybody just leaves. But you're going to talk to them more about what are more principles, what questions they have, what are some things that we can understand better of what can be done about the situation.
The next thing is more broad, not so specific as a presentation in your home, but looking to find people in your area. We've talked about this before, where it's essential that if we're not going to find people of like mind to gather with, that we help the people that we're already gathered with help us out with this battle. And so we do that by changing the community that we're in. And we do that through every month. We distribute a Slim Jim pass along card, a paper printed with a QR code with a video that you'd like them to watch. Something like, you know, whatever it is. And you pick 30 to 50 homes in your neighborhood that you want to build that understanding with. And, you know, you're going to say. well, you know, so-and-so is a big fat liberal or so-and-so is this, or they don't care. They just want sports.
ou know, they just watch sports. It doesn't matter. That's not the point. This is more of the shotgun approach. It's all of these things mixed together that leads to the success that I talked about in the beginning. It's not just one of them. It's not, and we have to realize that, but it's really, it's literally all of these things because there's no way for us to know where everyone in our neighborhood is at and when they're at that point. And so if we're regularly sharing these things, even if they're not at that point in the very beginning, as time goes on, the first couple of times they might not even look at the link that you share, but maybe six months down the road, they're like, this is a topic I find interesting. Let me see what's going on here. And it just builds that trust with your neighbors that you can work with them in the future. It helps you identify those that you can't trust and that you should avoid at all costs. And it also helps you to be able to identify people that you might bring to one of your video showings in your own home. But you can also use this idea in conjunction with a presentation, right?
A video showing that you're going to do in the area. When you're going to a meeting that you have that's hosted by another organization, this is the kind of thing that you can pass out to everybody that's there. Um, you, a public official right there, uh, you go to their neighborhood to pressure, AKA scare them into doing the right thing because they, they, Oh, they're like, Oh my, all my neighbors are, um, being informed on this. I better make sure that I'm on the same side as them this time so that I maintain my credibility with them. And so I've seen this being very, very effective in getting bad people to do the right thing. Because they're afraid of losing credibility with those that are directly there in their own sphere. Also going to a town hall meeting, because those are people that are already engaged, that are already caring about things that are happening to them. And so they're more likely to check out a video, check out a pamphlet that you can pass along to them. Okay.
Also, other organizations, they have events that they allow other people to come to and have booths and tables to. And so I encourage you to work with those other organizations to set up Tree of Liberty Society booths where you can pass out our books. You can pass out our flyers and gather email and phone numbers to invite people to events that we're doing. Those are great ways to be able to have reach out and so that you can, you're developing these relationships with these other groups so that when there is a single issue that you all agree on, you can do the things that we talked about before of everybody gathering together to focus on this one issue where we all agree on it to put pressure to either go on the defense or go on the offense on that issue. Another thing that you can do is because not everybody has set up an ad hoc committee. And so because not everybody from the very beginning is going to agree with everything that we do or believe at the Tree of Liberty Society.
There are people that just aren't ready for the idea of conspiracy, just for example. Or they might not be ready for nullification. Whatever it is, they might not be ready for, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be involved in what we're doing, that we can't utilize and work with them. on a specific single issue so an ad hoc committee would be a single issue like you know you have a nullification committee or expose satanic ritual abuse committee right you identify a topic the tree of liberty society is working on to promote or to expose and then create a committee dedicated to that topic and that topic alone you're like okay you know whatever we think of other topics we all agree on this Let's all just work on this. So that way you're able to magnify your voice on that issue and you're able to promote that issue.
And the more of these committees that we have, the more people we have working on all of the issues that we work on. And so these are things that we can do. And that's I showed earlier that. about the Stop the North American Community Committee. Stop the North American Union Committee. Yeah, if I can spit it out. And so you got people that wouldn't have agreed with us on other issues that we were working on, but they recognized the truth behind the threat of the North American Union. And they saw, you know, all these other influential people and businesses that were involved with this. And we were able to get people on board. to stop on that issue. And we were able to stop that in Arizona.
And whatever state you're in, you can apply that to your state. And so you find others in and out of the Tree of Liberty Society that are interested in that specific topic. And you involve them in identifying opinion holders that would be willing to put their business, or if they're well known, their name on materials promoting that issue, right? If you've got a radio talk show host that is passionate about exposing, you know, satanic ritual abuse, then they can be on, you know, they'll put their name on the exposing satanic ritual abuse committee. If you've got a business that is willing to stand up with you on supporting nullification, you know, you can put their business on that and you can work with them to say, okay, our business is going to be an example of nullification on XYZ issue. Produce signs, stickers, Slim Jim cards. that a business can put in their store educating patrons on the issue.
During the fake pandemic, I actually just got this feedback just yesterday about the things that we were doing during the fake pandemic. There was a business that we, several businesses actually, that we got them stickers saying that we're not going to enforce the mask mandate. And that business owner said to a mutual friend of ours that that sticker led to their business increasing during that time period. And so, you know, standing up for an issue actually is helpful to these people. You know, sometimes they're afraid. But, you know, when people stand up for something, people that agree with that issue will stand with them and strengthen them. And that also helps to magnify that issue. And so, you know, being involved in these types of activities is very helpful in promoting our overall cause. Yeah. What does ad hoc mean?
I don't know. I'm pretty sure it's Latin, but it just, I don't know the exact translation, but basically it means single issue committee. Okay. And so you create a letterhead, you distribute the letterhead to community leaders, educating them on the topic, urging their support or to support something or to stop something, whatever it is that you're working on. And that can help magnify your efforts. on that issue and then that also draws more people to the organization at large okay so this is something that um so these are just a few examples we're going to get into more examples as as we move on but um but this this will get us started especially as you review these things as we talk about these things more these specific things that we can be doing. And I did list a lot of different things.
And so I don't want that to be a discouragement saying, oh, that's too much. I can't do all of those things. You know, at first you're right, a hundred percent. You can't do all of those things, but you can pick one of those things and you can be a leader. You can say, okay, I'm interested in nullification. I'm going to start a nullification committee. Hey, Ben. let's get some other members to work with me on this, to be on the committee head. And let's go out to other organizations and find people that will support me on this issue.
And you can do that. Or you're like, hey, you know what? You know, I'm willing to stick my neck out and invite some friends out to my house for a presentation. Will you come out to my, you know, work with me to get that taken care of? Yeah, totally. And so, you know, if you can do all of the things that I've mentioned all at once, that's awesome. But if you want to pick just one to start with, I want to help you with that. And I want you to start working on that. This isn't something I'm saying, hey, if you as an individual, one or two of us tonight want to do one of these things, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying all of us as members of the Tree of Liberty Society need to work on these things. All of us need to pick at least one of these things to start working on tonight. and start planning towards, and start working towards accomplishing.
And, you know, whether that's, whatever it is, distribution of materials, having booths, starting a committee, setting up a video showing, whatever it is, tonight's the night to say, I am going to start with the action, and I'm going to start making a difference in changing the culture. Because I've been a part of the Tree of Liberty Society, the Tree of Liberty Society has the tools, that I need to be able to understand these issues myself and to be able to share with others. Now it's time for me to get to work in addition to spending the time to educate myself. And so we've just got a couple of minutes left. Does anybody have any comments or questions on the things that we've covered tonight? Just for the next three minutes that we have before the meeting, please raise your hand. Mark, yes. Yes, after we get to the Q&A, I'd like to cover a lot of things because I've been doing a lot of these things. But one question, though, is what do you recommend we use for door hangers?
Oh, can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear you. Yeah. When we go to the door, if they're not there, should we leave something or just come back when they're there so we can talk about what we're offering them? And what kind of item? For me, it needs to be something that really explains, not only explains what it's about, but motivates to take further action. What do you recommend other than just your website card that we would hand out at the door? So the Slim Jim card, or we have our two pass along cards. That's the materials that we have right now available for people to be able to do that. And I recommend that, you know, with something that basic.
Just leave it in their door. That's fine. You don't have to wait. If you were going to the neighborhood passing out books, you might want to say, okay, I'm going to talk to that person. I'll just leave 50 books out in the neighborhood. But with something like a pass-along card or a Slim Jim, just leave it at their door. Or if you want something more, just develop your own little flyer that you print off and cut up in the little sheets. And you can tape that or put that in their door that directs them somewhere to one of our videos or articles. That's what I'd recommend. Just to be sure I know what you're talking about. I think I've seen the Slim Jim, but can you summarize his content as well as the pass along cards? Yeah, let me see. I had. Here we go. Of course, that is freezing up on me right now. So the Slim Jim talks about it's two sided on one side. It talks about, you know. we don't need to wait for elections to be free. Here are steps that you can take right now to be free.
Here's a video, and then it has a QR code to learn more about that principle of nullification. On the backside, it says, what is a tyrant? And it goes through and it identifies based on the righteous sword against tyranny, what a tyrant is and what is the definition of a tyrant. And then the pass along cards we have, one is on the bootcamp. And then the other one is just directing people, to just a general website pass-along card. Thank you. And my belief is that they'd be most valuable when you have somebody that is concerned about a lost liberty. Oh, sure. If you put it on a door, many people aren't. But those who are, it's really important we get this kind of handouts into their hands. Yeah.
But with handouts, you're just trying to change the culture, even passively, because... person wouldn't have even been introduced to that subject unless you did leave that thing on their door. And so I would encourage leaving simple things at their door, even if they're not home, because even if it's not that first time, eventually, time after time, if we're doing it on a regular basis, they will start to be introduced to those topics. And ad hoc means special issues, single issues, pretty much what you described. Exactly. Okay, we are out of time. It is 10 o'clock. Let's have our closing prayer, and then we can do our open forum. Let's see here. Rod, would you say the closing prayer for us? Sure. Thanks.
Heavenly Father, we're thankful once again for the opportunity to meet together. We're grateful for all those who took time out of their evening to join us, and we're grateful for Ben and his efforts. We ask you to please help us to heed. The things that we've discussed tonight to get out of our comfort zones and do what we can to reach out to those around us and help spread this message of freedom and liberty and action. Help us all to look for opportunities, to not only find opportunities that become available, but to make opportunities where there are none. And we pray that we may be led to those who will be open and receptive. Pray for thy spirit to be with us and guide us now in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
