Member training from December 22nd, 2025.
Tonight, Ben led part 2 of a discussion laying out both the background and the practical roadmap for what we do at the Tree of Liberty Society and why we do it, grounded in decades of experience studying tyranny, natural law, and successful efforts to restore liberty throughout history. Ben explained how real, lasting change only comes when we balance education with action—building understanding first, then stepping outside our comfort zones to influence culture, communities, and institutions. Drawing on real examples like the successful nullification of Real ID in Arizona, I show that organized, principled, local action can force even unwilling officials to do the right thing. This is not about short-term wins, political theater, or outsourcing responsibility, but about patiently informing people, working with others on single issues where agreement is possible, and steadily shifting culture so liberty can be defended and reclaimed for the long term.

So there's this individual. I've actually, I've quoted him before from other things that he's shared, other things that he's done as not even as a member. He's not even a member of the Tree of Liberty Society, but he's one of our best promoters out there. And so I wanted to share with you this video. And this is an example of things that you can do yourself on social media. If you've got a YouTube channel, Facebook, you know, all those types of things. It would be great to be able to get folks, to get all of us doing something similar to this. So I'll just share this video that he posted on his YouTube channel. I was at a Real ID presentation not too long ago. And if you don't know what Real ID is, please stay away from it. They are trying to put us in a digital panopticon. Anyway, I met a gentleman and he made me think. He said, CJ, you know, the danger is not in authoritarian leaders. I said, excuse me? You know, because I'm thinking, you know, Hitler, Joseph Stalin, you know, Pol Pot. I mean, all these people responsible for millions of deaths of people. And he said, no, no, no, no. That's that is not the issue.
The authoritarian leaders. The issue is the problem is. the authoritarian followers. When he said that, it was like something broke through to me. So I want to share with you how to solve the problem of authoritarian followers. Watch this. Remember how Paul said that our wrestling is not with flesh and blood. So flesh and blood is not the problem. Humans aren't the problem. It's the principalities. It's the powers. It's the rulers of the darkness of this world. And spiritual wickedness in high places. None of these have flesh and blood. It's all about casting down the imaginations. These are invisible things. Thoughts. Ideas. And how we get rid of authoritarian followers as we must educate them. We must have truth. as our only weapon and this is one of the ways watch this that you can educate people the righteous sword against tyranny folks you've heard about nullification right that's just saying no to illegal edicts coming down from up above right the so-called authoritarian leaders you can just say no to that we've heard about interposition a lot of us are intercessors right we stand in between Those that are headed for destruction and destruction. We stand right in between them. But now you're going to hear about tyrannicide.
And we have to make sure that we know what that means and how God wants us to go about enabling him to move in such a way that tyranny is no longer an element of life in this world. And so, again, the link will be in the description below. I don't get any money from this book. It's very good. And we want to educate people, especially the people of God, on what happens when tyranny creeps. God bless you. And God loves you. And God smiles when he sees you. So I thought that was just great to be able to have, you know, we just need as many testimonials like that out there. And so, If you order it on Amazon and then you add your review of the book or you do a video like that on your own social media pages, that's a pretty big way to be able to help us be able to build understanding and to be able to go on the offense to be able to restore lost liberty. And so I just thought an example of, hey, this is somebody that's not even a member of the Tree of Liberty Society.
And he's doing this. So this is definitely something that we can all do. And that can be really beneficial and helpful to us to be able to get the message and get the books out to more people. Do you have any questions or thoughts on that? Yeah, Simon. Sorry, I had to turn my microphone off. I just thought that was very well done, very well thought out. I think we need more promoters of this on social media and YouTube. Yep, exactly. Thank you. Yeah, that's what I'm asking us all to do for sure. Mark. Yes, a few things he did, I think, that are good. That was basically an elevator pitch, but it was, what, about three minutes long? Yeah. And I have found I've thrown pitches at over 200 ,000 people over the years. And it's important to... yourself some credibility of what you're talking about. And also, you need to whet their appetite. And then the third most important factor is surveil. See what they show in interest. So he doesn't have somebody there to dialogue with, to talk to directly or converse, but he does have the ability to give credibility to the subject, credibility to himself. If he gives credibility to himself, then you're more interested. People are more interested in looking into what materials he's providing to back up what he's saying or give the details. So I think that's really important.
Often, if you're in an elevator, often you don't have that length of time. But most of the time, we do have that kind of length of time, and we really need to do that to incorporate all three of those purposes that are very important. Okay, thank you. all right i'm not sure if anybody else has any comments or thoughts on that one last point so the point is if with your own credibility if you're showing that you don't seem to know much about what you're talking about the book or what are you you can't even describe what the book uh how it backs up what you're talking about and how it relates and so forth uh they're less likely to think that whatever you're offering is going to be credible so your own credibility to some extent read it first that's for sure yep okay All righty. So yes, please, please do your effort to get that out there.
Also remind you just about a week left for our one month free membership promotion going on. Encourage you to share that and let folks know that this is the time to test out the waters. Tonight, we're going to be expanding, just continuing on what we talked about last week with even more effective action items, things, attitudes, things that we can do. um that are um you know they seem small but they are if we are all if we are all doing them they will make a big impact and and again like i said last week i've got you know 25 years of experience working on these things and knowing what works and what doesn't work in the long run You know, I'm talking about long run, not these short term fixes that people like to promote. The things that I've been talking about last week and this week are long term solutions.
So, again, making sure that this is all about building understanding for ourselves and for others, because that is why we are in the situation that we're in. And we need to build understanding of and adherence to the principles that have built free nations, expose the conspiracy and build an effective resistance to that conspiracy. So, again, as I've talked about before, and I want to just bring up, again, we don't do the things that normal organizations do. We don't promote candidates. We don't say run for office. We don't raise money for lawsuits. We don't go around doing signatures and petitions or initiatives or letter writing campaigns because all of those things are designed. created on purpose to be able to give the conspiracy more power. Because all of these things say that your rights don't exist unless the government grants them to you. Your rights don't exist unless the right person's in office. Your rights don't exist unless you're in office.
Your rights don't exist unless the court says so, et cetera, et cetera. That's what all of these things have the presupposition of. And so we have to get out of that mindset of, I don't have liberty. Unless this. You have liberty because God gave it to you. And we really have to get that into our heads. Mark, go ahead. Yeah, I agree with you, but you're not going to ban this from the organization if we do one of these things, right? No, no. I'm trying to build understanding on things that are more effective. And so, especially, right? So what I'm saying is, you know, we don't do these things saying, I don't have freedom unless this turns out the way I want it to. If it is part of a larger strategy, that's a different story. But if we are doing it as most people do, as I don't have liberty unless this turns out right, we are doing it wrong and it won't work.
Yeah. And two of them you could possibly do some right, but I generally agree most of the time it's useless or it's ineffective. One is running for office. When I ran for Congress, I used it as an educational tool. So much of what your organization. is educated on i took advantage of that and i was educating on it uh ron paul basically said the same thing to a great extent uh so you can use running but you better know what liberty is and justice and conspiracy and their tactics and all the things we're in the organization's teaching uh voting possibly could be effective i mean uh there are occasionally some good class candidates in the second party you know the democrats and republicans first party uh so i i you but they're not going to win so in that respect uh not or very unlikely to win it's not effective but uh but i in general i think all this is a good list you have here And it's, it's, and it would be even, even if it's like for a larger strategy, it's, it's still less effective than the things that we're covering.
And so if you, if you've got, you know, money and time that you're putting into something, these are the things that you will waste the most of those two things. And so, and then the, the things that we're talking about of what the proper solution is, will actually save you money and save you time and have a bigger impact. Isn't it listed in the Bible somewhere to petition the devil or petition the demons? I never read that verse. That really is kind of a parallel. Yep, absolutely. So we're going to talk about an overview of what effective principles are, continuing of them, right? We've talked about this in our boot camps. We need to defend rights. We need to assert our rights. And we need to take our rights. The things that we've covered last week and this week are examples of specific routes of doing those three things. In the boot camps, we kind of had a broad view, right? Just speaking principally, whereas last week and this week, I'm going to be getting into specific things that we can do.
So attend town hall meetings. So again, if we are doing it thinking that we are going to get evil to do the right thing, I've talked about that before, like with Real ID, but it's part of the bigger strategy of liberty, of building understanding. And so I want to share this example. This is a good example of using the use of attendance of town hall meetings, not for because this person isn't trying to get evil to do the right thing necessarily. Their strategy is much bigger. And so I want to share that with you. I wanted to talk about the gross books that are in our schools. So I'm going to read a couple excerpts. One of them is Push. This book is at Orangewood High School. On page 127, it says... Candy? Yes?
Pause your time, please. This is in your school at Orangewood. I understand that. I just want to make you aware, and that is fine when a parent checks out that book, or a child checks out that book with their parents' approval. However... Back when you interrupted my speech last time for the word ASS... You know, it's not appropriate for adults, but you guys think that this is appropriate for children? I think we all know that the garbage in our schools is not appropriate. Okay, so I obviously clipped out a lot of that because, as she says, it's not appropriate. The things that she read were not appropriate for this training even, let alone for schools and kids. And so, but what did she do there? This is a strategy where you'll see some organizations out there. That will say, oh, you've got to be nice to the legislator.
You've got to tell them how much you appreciate everything that they do. And you just hope and wish that they would, you know, understand what's going on and vote the right way. That's not what she's doing there. She is exposing them. She's embarrassing them and exposing them. And so that people can see who they really are. And so, you know, is she going to get invited to meetings with these people? No, she's not. And that's OK. We don't that's not. There are tables that you're not supposed to sit at. And that's an example of, you know, conspirators, Satanists are, you know, their table is a table that I don't care to sit at. And so if I'm going to, if we're going to offend them by calling them out for what they are and exposing them for who they are, that's an effective use of attending a town hall meeting. Okay.
So town hall meetings, because not because you're begging for permission or you're going to expect or wait for them to do what you're asking, but you're going there to expose them and embarrass them for the evil that they've done, because that's really what's going to work to get them to do the right thing, as well as educate and build understanding in others that are at the meeting of what's really going on, that we face a conspiracy of evil as opposed to ignorance. So, right, we're not to educate. We're not really educate. We're not trying to educate Satan, but we're educating and awakening the people that are asleep in the audience.
And so at the town hall meetings, we we can plan on doing these types of things in advance where we either we can record the meeting ourself with friends springing cell phones or you get access to the public video like this was a this was the government's video feed. of the meeting and then post it to social media also while you're there you're passing out materials you're passing out pass along cards, Slim Jims, QR codes on pieces of paper, all those types of things to those types, to the people that are in attendance to be able to learn more and to be able to know what they can do about it, to be able to help that situation, whatever that specific situation is. Of course, you're planning in advance of what you're going to do. But that's just a great example. And even if there's not like, we don't have to wait for a hot button topic. You know, we could go through and, you know, in public comment at a meeting, you're just reading the Declaration of Independence and giving some bullet points of how we've how we're following the same program as King George. Right. You could read from one of the books that that we produce.
Just kind of we've got two minutes at the meeting. And you'll read two minutes worth of one of our books at the meeting. And that could, you know, that could be a viral thing that goes on the internet. You're helping to educate the people that are there. You're helping to educate those that will see it online. And so that's just, those are just great. Those are the ways that we use town hall meetings, not in the traditional of, you know, begging and, you know, looking at the boot of the master. but using it to embarrass them and to educate others. So the next thing that we need to be doing to be effective and be evolved in effective action is the concept that leaders are readers. We should be leaders to others that are less informed on the principles that we're talking about. Stats say that leaders read an average of two books every month. CEOs read four to five books every single month. And it seems like a simple thing. Like, why would I do that? I've got other things to do. I'm too busy.
Well, the people that are successful are doing it. People that are successful, we can see they're taking the time to invest in themselves with building their understanding on key principles. And so if we're looking at what successful people do, This is an example of what successful people do. And so we can't make excuses for why we can't do that if we want to be successful. Okay, the Tree of Liberty Society members should be reading Tree of Liberty Society books and the books on the Tree of Liberty Society reading list. That's our start where we can say, okay, I'm going to read two books a month to be a leader. Or if I'm going to be like a top-notch leader, I'm going to read four to five books every month. But let's let's start off with a couple of books a month to read and we can start off with the books in our reading list.
And then also beyond that, we should be reading books on leadership as well, because the leadership books help us to be able to see what maybe we don't see about ourselves. And we'll start to have those things be made plain to us. We're like, oh, OK, that's a more effective way to do X. Or, oh, I do that thing that's not very effective. I shouldn't do that anymore. And so they help us to, without being offended because somebody said, oh, you're horrible at that. You're just listening to a leadership book and you're saying, and you just recognize these things in yourself of what you can be doing better or what you should stop doing because they're just not effective.
And so if we want to be leaders in the liberty movement, leaders in restoring lost liberty, leaders in exposing and routing the conspiracy, This is a major thing that we need to be doing. That is, it does take time. So, you know, I'm not going to say that it's going to save you time compared to, you know, volunteering for a candidate, but it will definitely save you money compared to, you know, spending, buying books is typically much cheaper than what folks spend on donating to a campaign. the result, right? The ROI, the return on investment on following this right here is going to be astronomical compared to the things that are less effective. Okay.
Another very important thing is that we have to be motivated ourselves. And we have to be good at motivating others, maybe not good at. I shouldn't say that because, you know, most of the time it's just doing it. It's just showing up is being effective. And so what I mean by motivated yourself and motivating others, mostly I'm saying that we need to be encouraging to others that when there is a program or there's a plan that we're not coming up with the reasons why it won't work. We are helping everyone say, let's do this because we are not going to say be naysayers. We're not going to be Debbie Downers, right? Where we're just not going to like anything that anybody says, but we're going to be good, you know, positive influence on others to be engaged in the program. Okay. So. Right.
This is something that I was dealing with when I first woke up is I was learning about all these things, learning, listening to talk radio. I was reading some books that were just talking about the problems and I didn't know what to do about it. And so I was getting frustrated. I was like, if there is nothing to be done about it, then why should I learn about it? You know, if there's nothing to be done, I might as well just remain in my ignorance. Right. But I know that there is something to be done. And so, of course, we need to do action.
But at the same time, action without education leads to fanaticism. So if we just get, you know, we listen to Glenn Beck and we're like, oh, this Muslim problem is huge, but we don't educate ourselves on what the real problem is and what maybe is leading to the migrant problem and illegal immigration problem, then we're going to blame the wrong person and then also get behind the wrong solution. we need to have both mixed together. We've got to build our understanding and then use that understanding to effective action. And so when we're motivated and we're positive about things, we must believe in the importance of what is being asked. We must feel capable of performing what is being asked and ultimately find personal satisfaction in doing what is being asked.
And so what I've noticed myself is, People that are not engaged and involved, they don't see the impact of what others are. You know, if you're not coming to training or if you're not participating in events, then you're not seeing the benefit. You're not seeing the successes. You're not seeing the light bulbs go on in people. You're not seeing the changes happening in others. And so you start to get discouraged. And so being actively engaged in the program. helps you to be satisfied because it's keeping you motivated and positive. So focusing on that first one, believing in the importance of what's being asked. Hopefully through the education and the training that we go through, we all better understand why it is that we're doing what we're doing. And so that we can believe in the importance of the program, right?
The members understanding, all of us as members. must understand the potential of the solution also the more that we are we are understanding the solution the less enamored we will be with other dead-end programs and the more commitment we'll bring to the program, right? If we're building our understanding of real history, of real solutions, of real principles of liberty, of what the conspiracy actually is, the more you build an understanding on that, it'll be obvious why the other things that people are talking about don't work, aren't effective.
You know, and so you're not going to be, you know, drawn to that like a moth of the flame as the ignorant person will be. So that's very important. Helping yourself and others read key books is also vital to strengthening understanding. If, you know, there are other members that you know or have contact with, just be like, hey, let's read this book together and or maybe not together personally, but. You're like, this week I'm going to read a couple of chapters of this book. We can talk about it together. And so that way you're strengthening your understanding and you're also building others up as well. And then being enthusiastic about it and having a track record of doing the program, you lead by example. And that is a time-tested principle of leadership. If we're not doing it, it'll be very difficult to get others to do the same thing.
Also, the member who is out there doing these things and successfully doing it, when he asks others to do, will earn the respect and confidence of others. The member should avoid the trap of trying to do all the work too quickly. You don't want to just jump in when somebody else doesn't do their job the way that they should have. Or maybe they completely dropped the ball. And so you're like, well, it needs to be done. I better just jump in. We need to take that opportunity to be encouraging. and positive with others to help them be more engaged so that they will then say, okay, that's not going to get done unless I'm involved too. And I've got someone else with me that will also do that.
And so we're not just doing it by ourselves, but we can have fun. And allow another member the sense of importance of being asked to come forward and fill a need. That's really important is helping people realize that they are needed. We all are needed. And so if we can invite others that we know to engage in something, that is very much an important action item for us to engage in. Okay.
Stay motivated. Feel capable of performing what is being asked. Before members, before any of us will enthusiastically accept that assignment, we must believe themselves capable of carrying it out. Now, so this leads to a balance between two extremes. where we don't accept the same out of every member and expect them to remain motivated, right? If you expect the brand new person that hasn't had the experience and doesn't have the knowledge to go out there and give a presentation to 100 people. that is going to scare them away. But at the same time, if you give somebody the job, you know, if you give somebody that's been around for a long time that has the understanding, that has the experience, and you ask them to, I'm trying to think of something, you know, there's nothing less important.
But, you know, if you're just like, hey, make sure and hold these, you know, pamphlets in case somebody asks for them, you know, if you give them something really that mundane, They're going to say, my talents are wasted here. And so we have to get to know those people that we're engaged with the Liberty Battle and so that we can invite them to do something that is comparable to their experience and knowledge level. But also that stretches them. If they've done nothing before, just standing there holding some pamphlets, that's a stretch. And then they can expand from there. but somebody who's been doing this for 10 years, we're going to ask you to do something a little bit more. It can be just as bad to consistently under-challenge a member as to over-challenge. Some members will be intimidated by pressure and learn new skills.
Others will be dissatisfied if they aren't challenged to become more effective. Okay, so find personal satisfaction in doing what is being asked. It takes self-discipline to persist diligently in tasks merely because We believe in a long -term goal. Sorry, I'm just going to mute you so we get rid of that echo. Regardless of how selfless our commitment, we can all perform better the more we can find personal satisfaction in what we're asked to do. So we do that by taking on a specific responsibility. And, you know, that's something that, you know, the things that we've gone over the past two weeks. It would be very helpful if you reached out and take initiative and say, hey, Ben, I want to help out with this. And then that will help you find satisfaction and then give you that sense of accomplishment where you take on something to get your feet wet, show yourself that you can accomplish something and then move on to the next thing, something that will stretch you even more.
And the next thing that will stretch you even more. Those each time that we stretch ourselves and our comfort levels. We will build our personal satisfaction, build our dedication. And we're going to be somebody that's in here for the longevity, that we're not going to be a flash in the pan. We are going to be not somebody that just goes away because we didn't see a change in six months. But we're like, okay, we're seeing a change in the things that we're engaged in. We're seeing the effects of the things that we are personally involved in. And so if we're just waiting to be told what to do, you're not going to see that. And so you're not going to find the personal satisfaction. And so if you want to be someone that's in this for the long haul, this is something that you need to take to heart and start to accomplish and to fulfill. So we should not underestimate the value of setting a good example with a positive attitude and personal perseverance. If others are seeing you with your good attitude saying, yes, this is awesome, let's do this. I'll buy 10 books or 50 books to pass out at this event. Who's going to come with me?
You're going to start to have leadership. You're going to start to be a leader and draw people that aren't part of the movement. into the movement you're going to get people that are already involved get them more involved because they see your example and your perseverance also we have to recognize that we're fighting a difficult frustrating war where instant solutions are not really possible right this is not something you know we've been doing this for a while and we've seen successes in some areas but winning the actual war is something that has you know wins and losses some frustrations, and it takes being a part of this for the long haul. And so if we take these things into account, it will help us to be motivated in those valleys and get us to those next peaks where we're having fun, we're doing something exciting, and we're motivated.
And then that'll get us through the next valley up to the next peak. And so just to recap some of the things that we've talked about, well, all the things we talked about last week and this week, the things that we need to do is our job is number one job is always, no matter what we're doing is to build understanding because without that understanding, they're not going to want to be engaged. We do that through group presentations, pamphleting our neighborhoods where other people have events. We have tables there to distribute literature. We set up ad hoc committees, meaning committees that are focused on a single topic. I gave the example of exposing satanic ritual abuse or a committee to educate on nullification. So those are examples of single issue committees that we bring in people from, you know, that might not agree with the other things that we're talking about. You know, somebody that doesn't understand conspiracy will say, yeah, nullification is really important.
And so they'll get engaged in that single issue committee. The next thing is to attend, speak, and record what you've said and then distribute materials at town hall meetings. Make sure that we are reading regularly because if we're not, we're not going to be a leader. And then motivate others. We should be helping others to be motivated and positive about the things that need to be done, even though they're not. These things that I'm showing right here. They're not sexy like lawsuits. They're not sexy like getting so-and-so elected, right? So they're not as exciting. And so they're not that flame that moths are drawn to.
But these are the things that actually lay the foundations for sustained and strengthened efforts later in the long run to make sure that the things that we do have a lasting impact that they won't have if we focus on the things. that people generally talk about that we've mentioned are less effective. These are the things that are actually effective in the long term, even though we might not see it in the short term. And so we want to make sure that we're doing that and so that we can actually have the long term success that we need to be able to build. the societies, right? Build, follow the principles that have built free nations, expose the conspiracy and route that conspiracy. And if we don't do these things, then we're not going to be very effective at doing what we need to be doing. So, and that we want what we want to accomplish. So those are getting into specifics. I know in trainings, you know, in the bootcamps, like I said before, we got into the macro where here's the principle, here's the idea. And then now here's the nitty gritty. of how we do those things. And so if we go back to these trainings on a regular basis, every month, even every couple of months, we go back and we look at these things, we say, okay, this is how I am going to be successful.
This is what I need to do. Let me not get distracted one more time with collecting signatures for some initiative that's coming up on the ballot. Let me not get distracted with this election. Let me not get, you know, whatever the distraction is, raising money for some lawsuit, whatever it is, understand that those are not long-term solutions, that they actually give the conspiracy more power. And so we need to focus on the things that will actually work. And so if we are going to spend the time, invest the time and resources into doing the things that I've talked about the last two weeks, I know I've seen it. I've experienced it. I know. that it will have a much bigger and long-term impact than anything else we can work on. So we, again, like I said, this is a shorter training than usual, but I'd like to open it up to any questions, comments on the principles that we've covered this week and last week. Mark. Yes, I'd like to talk about motivation and then also the town hall meetings. I'll start with the town hall meetings. I've been to about 20, maybe a couple dozen of them over the years. And they are really a good opportunity.
Let me talk about handouts. Handouts are very valuable at those meetings. One reason is the people are activists to the extent that they care enough to show up for the meetings. So that's better than the average person on the street. One of the things we used to do at the Birch Society, one of the common handouts, is hand out the voting record of the politician that's speaking. And that has been quite effective. I'll make these really quick examples. I confronted, I've been confronted congressmen in assemblies since I was in high school. And one congressman, this is in the late 80s, Republican, voted for every gun control bill. There were some gun control bills up when he was in office. And I was exposing his record and also exposing about five or six of the main unconstitutional votes based on literature he was handing out.
And he got so angry, he demanded, he was a former Marine, demanded I sit down. And then he proceeded to tell the group, and my first chapter at the time was there as a witness and others, told us that what made America great, literally said this, was a congressman violating the Constitution for 200 years. And he said, if you don't like it, you should get out of the country. And what happened is that several people, including my capital leader, they took that information to others that they associated with, other organizations. And it really apparently had a walking faith. And he ended up getting voted out of power. I don't know to what extent that meeting probably didn't make the difference, but it might have. But I've had other Congress, a state senator, or excuse me, she was both a state senator and a state representative of California.
Mike was along similar lines. I was citing all these constitutional things she had stated in her speech in the Q&A. And I said, where did the authority, and I said, this is your job description. And she couldn't answer the question. And what they've done, this is one of the points I want to make about this, they're narrowing your opportunity to give feedback, to expose them at these meetings. First of all, they're having fewer and fewer of them. I saw in California going on, and now I really see here in Utah, where my congressman hasn't had any that I know of, and then they keep it kind of quiet. One time, there was one day notice they're going to have a town hall meeting. Another thing they're doing is they're asking for questions being written out, and then you hand it in to them. So they can answer part of it or read part of the question or not read it at all. I've had a number of cases where they wouldn't read the question at all. They know it's a little dangerous to have somebody up there. That state representative I was confronting, the mic was still open. This is in the 80s, so they don't do that anymore.
So I kept exposing, this is your job description. You took an oath to God, divide by the Constitution, and you don't know where your authority is for these things you say you're doing. And what happened is two suits, I call them the suits, or handlers. came up and rushed up to both sides of her and started whispering in her ear and so forth. And to give you some idea of the impact, I saw her about six, seven years later when I was giving a speech and she was talking too. And she knew me by name. So that's the only time I had any conference. So they take these meetings kind of serious. But handing out literature is very important and trying to speak and expose them. and and not having any reverence i the term i use some of these fellow constituents, the reference for these people like they're deities just because a mob put them in office.
And we should have reference for people that are destroying our liberties, violating our rights, and destroying the future. Okay, I'll leave it at that. Well, can I see a couple things on motivation real quick? Real quick, yeah. I just want to make sure that people have a chance to say something. Go ahead. The more you understand where they're taking us and the power they have to take us there, That should be motivating. Everything that's godly is on the chopping block. Your families, your lives, all your freedoms. You know, they're trying to create a world that nobody would want, that a decency, a civility would want to live in. So that should motivate. And also motivating is accomplishments. One of these town hall meetings, we handed out the voting record. This horrible congressman, I ended up running against her.
She had... Five out of six times she voted against the Constitution in her most recent voting record. Everybody in that room was given one. And when they're talking to her, you see them holding their hands. So if those can have an impact, I really recommend going to the town hall meetings, even though they're trying to limit a number and your impact on them. OK, thank you. Any other comments or questions? Well, Ben, one other thing, you know, we're fighting the conspiracy. We need to get to that. with our prospects eventually, when you think they're ready for it. One of the things I like to do a lot of times is point out what we're fighting. A conspiracy is an organization, or you can call it an army. Either one is a fitting description. And you can't defeat an army if you don't have your own army. We need to be an army acting concerted action.
There's concerted actions much more effective than all of us on our own. uh going you know all different directions and uh so that that's why an organization like trade liberty that understands what's going on and what the solution and where they're taking us is so valuable because we're an organization and only organizations really can uh be effective uh adequately effective against a conspiracy absolutely thank you i'd love to hear from as many of you as possible yeah britney thank you I just wanted to say that I started reading on our Kindle. We have a Kindle app, a couple of books, and I kind of go back and forth between them. But I would say reading has really made the biggest difference in my understanding of things. And not that I'm not a big reader. I used to be. you know, time gets away from you and you just, you know, make excuses and you do other things that you shouldn't be doing. And, you know, all those things happen.
But I would say that like, that is something that just hearing you say that tonight was like, okay, I am doing something like that. I can still be like trying, like I'm still reading and I really want to make sure that like, I'm really understanding things. Cause I'm kind of one of those people that like, I feel like I have to know everything before I can share it. And the more I read, the more confident I am in sharing. things from the Tree of Liberty Society. And I'm not brave enough yet to do it on social media. And I know that that time will come, but I'm not there yet. But I think with my continuation of reading, I think that will just continue to help me feel confident in the knowledge and understanding to be able to share more things. Absolutely. That's awesome. I'm so glad that you're doing that. I was amazed myself.
I have not been the greatest reader. you know through my time but you know like i've said before in trainings where i'll buy three different versions of the same book where you have the physical because you just you got to read it and you get it you know you just dig through it and then you have the the digital where you can do a word search if you want to go back and you're like there's this quote i know and i've got to share it with somebody and you can do that real quick and then there's the audio where you get it just kind of repeat in your mind to kind of really get it instilled there after you've read it and so um and so i just just I really appreciate what you said there, Brittany, because it's another witness to what I've seen myself is that reading just takes everything to the next level. Mark. Yes.
She's taken about 5,000 of my calls over the last 10 years. Looking back, I realized that often I'm citing books. I'm citing part of the message from a book and promoting books. And one of the books. is the bible i found myself more than anybody to click uh citing from the bible so i i don't know was that pam that was just talking or britney oh britney okay so that shows credibility if you start spouting out about a subject that you don't adequately know it and and yeah of course applying logic to it to the issue you can do more harm than good So it's important to always keep your integrity and credibility. Yep. Just like you were suggesting. Thank you. I'd love to give more people an opportunity to chime in. But if not, we'll go ahead and do open forum, have a closing prayer first. Kay Jenkins? Oh, Micah, yes. Oh, there we go. Can you hear me? Yep. Okay.
Interesting enough, I think it was two days ago, somebody that I... to you very much called me to say that they saw a video of me at a city council from like six years ago and then on uh it was the kuahara thing oh yeah and i didn't fill the whole time i basically just told the whole city council that they were evil and they're going to hell oh if you can find the link to that i'd love to i'd love to have it yeah and then and he said it was inspiring or whatever it's like it's not like i was even shocked i didn't even know anything about it so sometimes you can do this stuff and you really affect people and you don't you don't really know it and yep and usually you don't know it you don't really get feedback right um so sometimes you just need to have faith that doing something like that is is gonna pay dividends that you can't see exactly yep You should be the poster boy for having irreverence towards politicians. I can't have much more than say that. Poster boy for what? Irreverence. Irreverence towards politicians. Oh, yes. I'm very not reverent towards men. All righty. Well, let's go ahead and have a closing prayer. Brittany, are you available?
Our kind, gracious Heavenly Father, we are so grateful for the opportunity to be able to meet together as a group and to share our liberties and quest and action items that we can be able to go out into the world and be able to find more like-minded individuals to be able to help our cause. And we ask that may help uplift us and encourage us to continue to motivate others to be able to do the work that is good and to be able to do the things that will help progress our movement forward. And we ask that may help us be able to... reconnect with our families and with Christ this week and be able to really understand our purpose here on earth. And we ask for thy help in these endeavors and say this humbly in the name of thy son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
