There was a revelation given in 1844 for the governing of the Council of the Fifty, the Kingdom of God. And what's really interesting about this revelation, if you compare the different governments of the earth, you have the documents, the governing documents for those organizations, like the UN Charter is many, many pages long, and then shorter than that is, of course, that's a satanic document, so it's evil, so it's gonna be longer.

And then the shorter document, the US Constitution's even shorter. And then we have this revelation that was given to the Prophet Joseph. They were trying to establish a constitution and write a constitution that would really embody the principles that they were trying to establish. And it ended up being more of a declaration of independence type document. It was more of a manifesto, something that declared what their beliefs and why they were doing what they were doing.

And so what the Lord did in April of 1844 is he gave a revelation that would be the governing document for this kingdom. And in it, he said, "Verily thus saith the Lord, ye are my constitution, ye, the Council of the Fifty are my constitution, and I am your God, and ye are my spokesmen. From henceforth, do as I shall command you, saith the Lord." The more inspired a document is, the shorter it is.

You don't need all of these different clauses and this and that. Just obey the word of the Lord. Just as a council, you guys get revelation and you just obey my word. Very simple, very straightforward.
