Recognizing FAKE Conspiracies

There’s a lot of bullcrap out there, especially in the conspiracy community. Often, it is a deliberate attempt to discredit those seeking to out true conspiracies. We also want to obtain a balance, right? We don't want to be this guy where we're just saying, "Oh, it's all stupid, it's all fake. There's nothing to it, we're just going to pooh-pooh because it makes us look like we're kooks." But we also don't want to just be easily duped, where we're like, "Whatever crazy conspiracy theory that's presented to us, we're like, "Yep, that's true too.

Yep, that's true too. We're all ruled by shape-shifting lizard people or whatnot." There's some keys that I want us to go over so that we say, yes, the conspiracy is real. The scriptures are clear that the conspiracy is real. We have a duty to stop them. How do we discern between the real ones and the fake ones? The first one is pray for discernment, of course. We need to have the spirit with us. We need to be living in a way where we can have the spirit.

We need the spirit to inspire us. Of course, if we can't verify it, then it's in the theory realm. It's not bad to have every crime that is solved starts with a theory. So theories are OK. But when we go from, "I wonder if this is the case," to, "This is the case," we need to make sure that we can verify it. Third is we need to understand how the conspiracy operates.

Reading the scriptures, reading the books, their own missions, what their goals are, how they've acted in the past, will help us to say, "This is how they operate. This is probably shady." Does it match what the scriptures have to say about how the conspiracy operates? We can learn a lot from the scriptures to be able to distinguish between real ones and fake ones. We need to make sure that we're not the boy that cried wolf. What we're talking about, as you've seen tonight, is a horrifically satanic conspiracy.

And it is beyond serious. And so we cannot ruin our credibility with fake conspiracies, fake conspiracy theories. We can't be warning people, saying, "This is real," when we don't know if it's real or not. Because then, when it becomes real, or when it comes out to the forefront and is shown to be real, people aren't going to say, "Oh, you're always wrong. I can't trust you. I can't believe you."

But no, because you've been right, people are going to say, "You know what? You don't put out wacky stuff. I'm going to make sure and listen to you and see what I can do to help you to stop it." Six, we need to join with others, like the Tree of Liberty Society, and get regular training on properly identifying the conspiracy. Because there is hope.

There is something that we can do about it. 2 Nephi 10:15 says, "Wherefore, for this cause, that my covenants may be fulfilled, which I have made unto the children of men, that I will do unto them while they are in the flesh, I must needs destroy the secret works of darkness and of murders and of abominations." So these things will be destroyed. We are a part of working and being God's hands to destroy these things.

So some things to help you be able to better understand what we face. I encourage you to read the book, "None Dare Call It Conspiracy" by Gary Allen. We did a book club a few months ago on that. You can listen to that as well. "Many Are Called, But Few Are Chosen" by A.J. Verlin Anderson. "The Hidden Things of Darkness" by Christopher S. Bentley. "Shadows of Power" by James Perloff.
